Diocesan Engaged Couples Retreats

Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming marriage! To prepare for your marriage, the Diocese of Nashville requires participation in a marriage preparation program. As part of this process, in consultation with your pastor, you are invited to attend a retreat for engaged couples. Retreat and program options may be found on the Marriage Preparation page.

The Diocesan Engaged Couples Retreat is an opportunity to assist in preparing you to enter into the covenant of marriage together. Please find retreat dates and information below. Please be sure to consult with your pastor before choosing a retreat or preparation program.

Retreat Details

Where: Catholic Pastoral Center (2800 McGavock Pike, Nashville)

Cost: $175/couple - includes all materials, continental breakfast, coffee breaks, and lunch

The Diocesan Engaged Couples Retreat assists in preparing couples for marriage with sacramental and practical information as you begin your marital journey. This is a one-day retreat which includes the following: Holy Mass, talks by married couples sharing their experiences on topics such as communication, the sacramentality of marriage, intimacy, and finances. Professional guests also share information on personality type communication and natural family planning. Couples have the opportunity to discuss topics with one another as well as with other couples in a small group setting.
